Mitigation and Assessment crews often run into problems in the field that require more than just an off-the-shelf net. High water, swift currents, above normal detritus, relocated snags, unknown debris and shifting sand wedges and bars.
There often comes a time when a field crew needs a "special needs" person, someone who can look or listen to a situation and design a gear to fit the need. That someone is Innovative Net Systems.
We've worked on fish farms with snail problems, trawl boats with bycatch trouble, shrimp fleets with shark trouble, biologists going deep in the ocean, fisheries management with otter , muskrat and nutria depradtion, fingerling eating birds, snag infested channels, boats too small to pull traditional gear, boats too large to pull small trawls. . . . . and on and on.
We've designed and delivered nets for catfish farms, tilapia pens, flooded underground caves raising cold water fish, aquariums looking to move sharks, dolphin training, tuna fish, Alaskan shrimp fleets, Great Lakes whiting trawls, East Coast forage fish surveys, California Water Quality projects, Midwest pallid sturgeon projects, paddle fish tagging and on and on......... are you still with us?
INS has the ability to design the weird and strange gear as well as stock nets for YOUR project. Not only that, but since we worked in the field for 30 years plus, we know what you have to put up with. If need be, we'll come up to your location and assess the situation BEFORE we take an order.
No other net shop that you will find in North America, has the expertise we have with in the field, hands on design and delivery. We walk the walk and talk the talk.
Ask around....... better yet, call one of the Big net shops and ask them......most of those have called us when they were in a bind.
| Access to nets is just part of delivering the Extreme Designed nets listed here. Innovative Net Systems can also deliver frames for every net we build.
Trawl doors: 1. Traditional but with our heavy duty steel runners and tow brackets 2. High Aspect , slotted and dihedral designed for maximum spread and durability with minimum size

Saddle bag and Paupier frames: Aluminum frames that bolt in place on existing aluminum hulls. Easy on and easy off.
Plankton work? No, we don't make a fancy net with logos and pretty trim, but we do make a simple plankton net that fits your project. Our line of Cajun Simple Plankton nets and plankton trawls catch what you need for your project without major expense to your budget.
We can deliver most frames for most nets in stainless, aluminum, cold rolled steel, galvanized and even fiberglass. It isn't pretty but it'll work!
