Just because you bought a net from INS, doesn't mean we're finished with you as a customer. We have gone to great lengths to learn AUTO CAD and other graphic design software so we can convey some of his knowledge back to you. These How-To-Brochures are some of the most sought after information in the field research business.
Unlike the little black and white sheet that might come with another shop's gear, INS will send you one of our many How-To PDF brochures explaining in great pictorial detail how to setup, fish and then adjust your gear. Need something special drawn up for a problem you might be having with your hull or area.... no worries.... INS can usually come with something to get you in the water.
Deep to shallow sampling, INS has been there , done that and bought the T-shirt!

Over the years INS has published numerous Trawling Manuals . We found several 'other' net shops using excerpts from these manuals, most of which were copyrighted in the ( Library of Congress). We allowed them to keep using the excerpts but with the condition that they print a fully visible acknowledgement showing it came from INS intellectual property.
This Good Faith gesture by INS does NOT acknowledge in any way ,that THEIR nets, trawls or set-ups are approved by us as equal or comparable gear. We are just lending them our expertise in a show of good faith.
We are NOT endorsing their nets in any way. In most all cases our research gear and accompanying rigging are far and away more sophisticated than anything they sell.... period!

No, there are no other net shops that 're-sell' our gear. We stopped that over 20 years ago. If it does not have our Authorization and Certification tag attached to the Float Line of the net....then its a good chance you do NOT have our net and possibly are looking at a Knock-Off.

If there is one thing that will irriate us beyond believe , is seeing a knock-off of our desined gear.
They might look good in the box, but will they do the same consistent sampling that INS gear does??? We don't think so.
Beware, if it does not have our Authorization and Certification¹ tag attached to the net itself, then you may NOT have the real deal.
Do Not take a chance with your livelihood and your data collection by using knock offs.
If they call themselves net makers then let them make their own nets....NOT steal copy our designs!
