Hands down.... the Siamese Trawl is the most popular, efficient benthic sampling gear for Year 01 specimens that we build or that we have ever seen ! It is the most sought after trawl in the benthic, inland sampling venue. Accept NO substitues or "Knock-Off" nets. We spent years perfecting this design and IT WORKS!

In 2002, I.N.S. designed the first Siamese Trawl. Shown here is the very first Model.
Joe Gerken, a Fishery student at Kansas State, tested this model side by side with the H.A.T. Mini-Missouri Trawl for two years.The Siamese out performed the Mini Missouri by a long shot.
I.N.S. never looked back . . . . The Siamese does EVERYTHING the Mini does only faster, easier and less expensive.
By 2024, we dont even get asked for Mini- Missouri trawls any longer. Its all Siamese trawls.
These simple yet efficient sampling trawls have made their way around the world . . . Borneo, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, The deep Amazon forrest and river system, Pacific ocean environs, and many , many other locations.
They can be configured with numerous design additions to work in almost any environ. They are the best Benthic Sampler we have for Year 01 specimens.

Joe Gerken with a freak catch of a 40lb. Flat head, in the Siamese Trawl.
These nets are NOT meant to take this big of a catch....must have been a real dumb fish!
The Siamese regularly takes fishes from 5mm through 50mm in Longitudinal Axis lengths.
|
The Siamese trawl is faster, lighter and easier spreading than the Mini-Missouri. It separates large and small fishes inside the codend, where they are more easily collected. It reduces the crushing effect that the Mini Missouri trawl has. It has been tested side by with the Mini and it came up equal to or surpassing the older dual mesh net every time.
I.N.S. makes this offer;
IF you buy a Siamese trawl and do not like it after two weeks, send it back and we will make you a Mini-Missouri for the difference in costing and the shipping.* the net has to be in good condition....no holes or rips.

This is a true scale of what the Siamese takes. The first 4 of these fish were held in the LARGE MESH Cod End. The rest filtered through and were retained in the 12mm, SMALLER MESH COD END. . . . . simple, fast, excellent physical condition of catch and highly efficient!
